In this detail we find the friendly fox, who I glimpsed at the allotment. I also place in the pictures I create things, animals, flowers, trees that I have seen either just before the painting or during it. The roses are from my garden, the sunflowers from the allotment. The three muses , are from my imagination; although sometimes they look like me, my family and friends. I have a lovely stone head planter, a beautiful lady with flowing hair entwined with flowers, she is often in my paintings as a real live woman; such is the power of the artist! Painted on a shimmering stretch of sun drenched days in July.
