New Moon – Part 1

This is the first of five images of details of this painting. It was painted in the Spring, hence the fresh delicate spring colours. Most of my paintings reflect the colours of the season in which they are painted, subtlly changing from week to week. This painting started with a prodominantly blue backdrop. Butterflies particularly peacock butterflies appear fly into my paintings; I see them often and they always make me smile. They remind me of happy days. I saw a dove for the first time recently it shone like sunlight. I will feature the other images over the weekend. Why New Moon? I was going to call it Blue Moon, but they are so rare and beauty is around is all of the time if we open our eyes and look.
