New Moon – Part 2

This is a detail from the background of the picture, the top right. The Kingsfisher, I would love to see one, I keep looking out and I know one day I will see a flash of irridescent blue and orange. Halcyon Days as in Greek Legend, they are days of calm and joy and of sunshine when the Halcyon a relative of the Kingfisher appears to lay its eggs. The New Moon the reason for the name of the painting is in this detail, with the stag. More details to follow later today. There is a reason for the white rose and one day I might tell you this, you will have to keep looking at my blog to find out. It has nothing to do with Yorkshire in case you were wondering.
